As the story goes, Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs, and some local co-conspirators, originally dreamt up the idea over pints at a German restaurant next to Bridge Street — the world’s shortest street in everyday use. One idea stuck: a St. Patrick’s Day parade contained entirely within Bridge Street’s 98 feet.
